Shot entirely in Kamloops in the spring and early summer of 2019 this 45-minute documentary produced for Telus Optik was written and directed by Vesta Giles, a local filmmaker, with the skilled talent of Josef Perszon, a local cinematographer and editor. With a small and talented local crew, they followed the Dirt Chix on the trails around Kamloops including Harper Mountain, Lac Du Bois, The Kamloops Bike Ranch, and Kenna Cartwright Park throughout the spring and early summer.

The Dirt Chix started 15 years ago with 4 women who wanted to learn to ride together found making the time a challenge with their busy schedules. Now there are over 160 on their email list, all attracted over the years by word of mouth, and they realize how important it is for everyone, not just women, to make time for themselves. With stunning mountain biking shots and heartfelt interviews, the story of the Dirt Chix and their amazing connection unfolds for the audience.
